Turkey Trot 2019
A popular tradition by many, the 46th Annual Mile High United Way’s Turkey Trot is a fun way to kick off Thanksgiving day. Drawing more than 10,000 people each year, this four mile walk/run in Washington Park helps provide education, health, and financial stability for individuals and families in the Denver community. You can also sign up to be a volunteer and help members of the community with your time and effort. Grab the entire family and work up an appetite for turkey dinner.

Light the Lights
On Nov. 29, join in on the annual lighting of Denver’s City and County Building and winter festival in Civic Center Park. This is the perfect event to kick off the holiday season and is especially great for little ones. There will be a variety of free activities for kids including a craft corner, a story-time tent, and even a surprise event hosted by the Denver Police and Fire departments.

The Nutcracker
This is the Colorado Ballet’s 59th season of The Nutcracker, a classic tale of make-believe and wonder in the whimsical sugar plum kingdom. Denver Christkindl Market
Take part in authentic German and European holiday traditions at the 19th annual Denver Christkindl Market. This market opens the day after Thanksgiving and features crafted gifts and treats from international merchants and local vendors.
